1. If the diesel engine water pump has any small fault, do not let it work.

2. If the packing of pump shaft is worn, it must be added in time. If the pump continues to be used, water will leak. The direct effect of this is that the power consumption of the motor increases and the impeller is damaged. If there is strong vibration when using the pump, it is necessary to stop checking the cause, otherwise it will also cause damage to the pump.

3. When the bottom valve of diesel engine water pump leaks, some people will fill the pump inlet pipe with dry soil, and the water will rush to the bottom valve, which is not advisable. Because when the dry soil is put into the water inlet pipe, when the pump starts to work, the dry soil will enter the pump, which will damage the impeller and bearing of the pump, thus shortening the service life of the pump. When the bottom valve leaks, it must be repaired. If the situation is serious, it needs to be replaced.

4. The diesel engine water pump must be carefully maintained after use. For example, when the pump is exhausted, the water in the pump must be discharged. It is better to drain the water pipe and then wash it with water. The tape on the water pump should also be removed, then washed with water and dried in the light. Don't put the tape in a dark, damp place.

5. The tape of the diesel engine water pump shall not be stained with oil or put some viscous things on the tape.

6. Carefully check whether there are cracks on the impeller and whether the impeller is loose fixed on the bearing. If there are cracks and looseness, repair them in time. If there are mud impellers on the pump, clean them.
